Over the Edge is a company that has worked with a wide variety of nonprofits, including Special Olympics, for nearly two decades. With a 100% safety rating and a very different approach to fundraising, Over the Edge offers a unique opportunity for WiSH to create community excitement and raise needed funds.

What appealed to us the most was having something outside of the box and open to all. In fact, anyone of any age can take part as long as they are between 100 and 300 lbs, and even mobility challenged people can participate! Given that we support over 21,000 diverse students, we love that anyone in our community can be adventurous and join us OVER THE EDGE! At the bottom will be a festival to get our community involved and excited. Please join us for a (finally) different event in town!

This is the bucketlist activity you can check off this year!

Rappel nearly 100 ft from the top of the six-story Newhall Parking Garage into the courtyard at Newhall Crossings and into a festival at the base of the “landing zone.” This event is ideal for the whole family! Invite friends and family to come watch you rappel and join you in the fun! Hear the emcee call your name as you descend!
It’s our first year, so we’re offering “first year intro pricing”
Email us at wish@hartdistrict.org if you’d like to CHALLENGE another community group/school/team, etc. to see how many rappellers they can send down – and we’ll schedule you to rappel side by side!
Whether a rappeler or a spectator, join us in the “Liquid Courage Cove” for exclusive food and drinks 1-4pm (21+)!

How it Works:

There are a few ways to take part in Over the Edge. Like races or runs, you’re raising money to support a worthy cause, and when you reach particular levels, you earn rewards, beginning with your rappel! You will be rappelling to raise money to support student programs for the over 21,000 students we serve. Send an email, make a phone call – let people know you’re doing some good and making an impact while you get to have an exciting bucketlist adventure! Anyone raising $1000 or more will get 2 tickets to the next WiSH event!

Individual:

For our inaugural year, we are offering “first year” intro pricing! You only need to raise $750 to rappel! For most rappelers, that takes only 2 weeks and asking 10 people.
You’ll receive a t-shirt you can rappel in!

Groups: You can also sign up as a Team with a group name.

One rappeler for every $750 raised!
Each rappeler receives a t-shirt you can rappel in!

CHALLENGE! Want to challenge another group, company, sports team? Send us an email at wish@hartdistrict.org and we’ll send the contact you provide a challenge graphic, letting them know who the challenge came from and include instructions to sign up. Who can have more rappels down the building??? YOU CAN!

* The deadline for meeting your fundraising goal is July 26th, 2025 at 10pm.

* There are no refunds for this event; all funds raised are considered donations to the WiSH Education Foundation.

* By participating in this event, you agree to have your likeness used in marketing and promotional materials.

* All participants must be at goal by July 26th – one week prior to event day – to secure a rappel spot. Those not at goal will be required to donate the difference in order to secure a rappel spot.

Liquid Courage Cove | $2,000 (2+)

Exclusive food and alcohol tastings from 1-4pm, this is where to go to get some liquid courage before the rappel! Logo displayed on event signage both on site and online (social media & website), exposure on all marketing materials including press releases and social media, 1 rappel spot along with logo on OTE t-shirts and event promotions, your name announced by our DJ at event; 3 event t-shirts. 3 Liquid Courage Cove tickets included.
